OnePlus 10 Pro 5G Design and build
The design of the OnePlus 10 Pro, yes, you’ve seen it before. It has a new design with a large camera module, which blends into the edge. To be honest, this design has been heavily inspired by the one on the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra. The camera module looks very similar to the top cut-off.
But nevertheless, it is always good to copy the good stuff if you are going to copy. We do think it looks pretty good on this phone. And it only comes in two color options Black, and Green a matte frosted finish. Other sources call these colors Volcanic black and Emerald frost.
This one also has very similar design elements to what OnePlus Pro has. Of course with slight differences here and there. In fact, it should feel pretty similar when you are holding it. For the speakers as expected on the OnePlus 10 Pro, dual stereo speakers with Doby Atmos. Goes without saying that there won’t be a 3.5-millimeter headphones jack.
OnePlus 10 Pro 5G LTPO2 AMOLED Display
Now, flipping over to the front, the OnePlus 10 Pro looks very similar, again, to the OnePlus 9 Pro with small bezels, curved edges with a punch-out in the corner. However, things have been improved since it’s a 6.7 inch Fluid AMOLED display with up to 120 Hertz.
Now, this is a second-generation LTPO. This means it can switch between 1 to 120 Hertz faster than what the 9 Pro can do making it more efficient. This display can produce more accurate colors at lower or higher brightnesses. Generally, OnePlus devices have had excellent displays over the past few years. So expect some of the best here from the OnePlus 10 Pro 5g.
OnePlus 10 Pro 5G Platform and Performance
Looking at the internals of the OnePlus 10 Pro now which is its performance. This phone is powered by a top-of-the-line Qualcomm SM8450 Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 (4 nm). This is going to be the flagship chipset for most smartphones in 2022.
Either 8 or 12 GB of DDR 5 RAM with 128 or 256 GB of UFS, 3.1 storage. Expect this phone to be very fast and smooth with these specifications. Something different is happening in the software department. In 2021 there was a merger between Oneplus and its parent company OPPO. So do not be surprised when you see ColorOS 12.1 on top of Android 12 with this phone. There will be lots of elements of ColorOS here.
OnePlus 10 Pro 5G Hasselblad Cameras
Onto the cameras, the OnePlus 10 Pro 5g is a 48 MP, f/1.8, 23mm (wide), 1/1.43″, 1. This one comes with what Oneplus calls a billion color solution. Okay here is a quick explanation of what this means. It will be able to shoot with 10 bits of color, giving you around 64 times more color processing compared to previous-gen OnePlus phones. Especially the immediate one.
But we think something other than this is actually more impressive. And that is the 50 MP, f/2.2, 14mm, 150˚ (ultrawide), 1/2.76″, 0.64µm, AF ultra-wide camera. It now has a 150-degree angle of view. Traditionally, most ultrawide camera smartphones are between 10 to 125 degrees.
150 degrees give you a fish-eye effect, which should be really interesting. Oh, and you’ll still be able to shoot at around 110 degrees on the OnePlus 10 Pro giving you more of a traditional ultra-wide.
There is also an 8 MP, f/2.4, 77mm (telephoto), 1.0µm, PDAF, OIS, 3.3x optical zoom camera. It gives up to 3.3 times optical zoom.
Oneplus 10 Pro also has the second generation HassleBlad Pro Mode, which will give you control over things like ISO and shutter speed, Raw Plus, which is gonna give you all the benefits of a RAW. For video, there is 8K@30fps, 4K@30/60/120fps, 1080p@30/60/240fps, Auto HDR, gyro-EIS with the main camera but only 1080p@30fps, gyro-EIS with the same 32 MP, f/2.2, (wide), 1/2.74″, 0.8µm selfie shooter from its predecessor.
OnePlus 10 Pro 5G Battery
And for the battery, we do have a large Li-Po 5000 mAh, non-removable pack. 80W fast charging on this phone with an 80W charger included in the box. Now this will be called super VOOC flash charge which has OPPO written all over it, again.
This will be able to charge it from 1 to 100% in just 32 minutes. Fast wireless charging 50W is also present here – Air VOOC. It will charge the phone wirelessly from 1 to 100% in around 47 minutes. And finally, reverse wireless charging to charge other items such as wireless earbuds on the back of the OnePlus.
